Infected MacBook Pro?

I have been receiving what appears to be false popup messages on my MacBook Pro that various things have been hacked, examples attached (IMG_4031). If I “choose an action to restore system’, I am referred to a fake McAfee website (IMG_4033).

I have run both TotalAV and Bitdefender and neither detect any malware, viruses, or other problems. I can’t figure out how to eliminate this problem. Although it does not seem to be harming my computer, it is quite annoying. Suggestions welcome!

You have probably downloaded some kind of adware. When I’ve had problems like this I usually delete cache and cookies from my browser and then download and run the free version of MalwareBytes.

Exactly, it is adware. I have downloaded MalwareBytes and SpyHunter, still getting the popups. Have not deleted cache and cookie from browser but will.

Thanks much!
