In australia, using imac 27" to watch tv from my tv tuner?

i have been trying to find an answer to this in forums but its very confusing. we're in australia. we have a tv tuner and we currently watch tv from it on our 42" plasma tv. we're about to go caravan and we want to watch tv on the Imac screen, rather than buy a smaller tv. its an older imac without hdmi.

Hello and welcome.

It isn't possible to use an iMac's screen as a TV monitor in that way. You could input the TV tuner's output if you purchased some form of video capture device, but that's really not what they are designed for...more for video capture.

Best advice would be to simply purchase either a computer monitor with an HDMI input, or a small TV.
