Registering Australian iPhone w/ Canadian Apple ID & iTunes

I am in now living in Australia with my iMac and iPad which i brought from Canada. My apple ID is registered in Canada. I have a new iPhone which is Australian but when I plug it in to my computer and try to register it through itunes, I cant choose an Australian address or phone area code. It won't let me change the settings from Canada.

Is there a way to change my apple ID and update it to my new location? I haven't been able to find it.

I want to be able to sync all of my apps from my ipad with my iphone but can't so this until i register the phone.
