iBook updates - what do you recommend?

My theatre professor just got a perfectly fine iBook that he wants to be able to use for graphic design. I know he needs to update to Snow Leopard and all that jazz, but what do you (the all-knowing internet) think he should do in relation to the hard drive, RAM, etc?

Hello, The professor won't be able to update his iBook to Snow Leopard because Snow Leopard doesn't run on PPC's. Of course, I'd recommend maxing out the RAM if it's not already and getting an external drive for backups & extra storage.
