iBook clamshell clock

Hi, I own an iBook clamshell m2453 and whenever I turn it on it says the date and time is messed up and it is always on December 31, 1969. I have switched it to the exact time a lot and have even locked it so no changes could happen but the next time i turned it on the clock was back to 1969.

Hello and welcome.

Those iBooks don't have a PRAM battery, and rely on the main battery to keep PRAM settings, including the clock. You need to either replace the main battery, or keep it plugged into AC power to maintain the date & time.
