I have an i-mac OS X 10.2.8 PowerPC G4-memory:256MB-Processor 800MHz
Apple(Bluewater) tell me that I cannot upgrade to Panther (processor not fast enough) but I could upgrade to Tiger.
Am I going to gradually be left behind or can I do something about it?
My wife has an i-book running Tiger but I cannot load the OS X 10.4.4 onto my PC.
Any advice would be welcome

Hello, looks like you're being left behind. Our current Operating System is Leopard and according to your specs it won't run on your Mac. However, If you have around three gigs to spare on your hard drive you should be able to run Tiger.
