I accidentally got my son's iMessage on my user account: MAC

Hi guys, I recently opened up my imessage on mac and found that it wasn't even my texts coming through to my user account. We all have separate user accounts on Mac as well as our own Icloud and Apple ID's.

I signed out and it seems the problem is fixed however he says he was never in my user account logging into imessage. I'm wondering how this occured and if it's a bug or maybe he accidentally plugged his phone in while my account was open. His user account is fine and he's not receiving any of my messages.

Hi Sarah,

This is very odd, do the family have one Mac or multiple? I really do not see this possible without your son being logged into your account.
Personally for piece of mind, if it were me I would change my Apple ID password

maybe he accidentally plugged his phone in while my account was open.

That would involve iTunes and there is no crossover with iMessage or other software.
