HP Photosmart Studio keeps quitting.

Hi, I'm sorry if this is not a right forum. I'm new here. I really appreciate if somebody can help me.

I have HP Photosmart Studio installed on my imac OS X Tiger. It was working fine for the first couple of weeks. Then, it started quitting everytime I try to open the Picture folder in HP Photosmart Studio. The rest of the folders do not cause this problem. I called HP tech support. With their instruction, I reinstalled HP Photosmart Studio, but the problem was not resolved. I was told that iPhoto may be the cause of the problem. Maybe it is causing a conflict with HP Photosmart Studio?

Can somebody give me a tip to solve this problem?

first few things to try...Repair Disk Permissions using disk utility...

What version of OS X have you got ?

Are you using the latest version of Hp PhotoSmart ?

Thank you for your reply. I use the latest HP Photosmart Studio 7.9 on imac OS 10.4.7 Intel core duo. I'll try what you suggested.
