How to eject Kindle?

Greetings Kind Helper...
I have been charging my beautiful new Kindle on my MacBook Pro (running macOS Sierra 10.12.3) but when I unplug said Kindle, a popup warning scolds me that the Kindle was not ejected properly. I see no icon for the Kindle on my desktop to drag to the trash to eject. Any idea where it might be hiding?

Click on finder in the dock. Click on kindle under devices on the left. Click on file at the top, then click on eject Kindle.
