Hi keyboard help

hi.. what is the key for "enter" = double click on the files.
When i press enter it keep renaming it not selecting instead

Hi there and welcome !

I'm not 100% sure of what you mean...

Do you mean when you press 'enter' on a WinXP machine the file opens...and how to do that on a Mac?

If so, then command + o is what you need. (The command key is the one with the Apple on it...and the letter o).

...the only other way I can think of...

Go to System Preferences-->Universal Access-->Mouse & Trackpad

Then turn on "Mouse Keys" now number 5 on you 'numeric' keypad will operate as the mouse clicker...

If you have a laptop then you need to turn on the number lock...not really practical unless you have an extended keyboard with the separate number keypad.
