Help with Word AutoRecovery

My Office Mac 2011 version likes to save files in a folder called "Office 2011 Autorecovery." Unfortunately, when files are saved here, they're lost by the finder and I have no way to open them back up. I know they are there, because I get the "duplicate file" warning when I try to save there again, but the files aren't accessible in any way.

Any ideas?

"Office 2011 Autorecovery." is not for general use and should be accessed via the Microsoft Product that is using it. The files there are NOT normally readable from any software including Office, there are in some strange Autorecovery format.

Terminal, cd to the folder and ls to list it.

In the past, I could drag files out of there. Now, with the "update" I got as of yesterday, I can no longer do that.
