Changing the Home Folder Name?

I changed the name of my computer in the Finder window and when I went to click on MSN messenger it said that there wasnt one installed and I went through a set up and it ended up re-setting my entire computer so now my old hard drive information is set as a different user. Is there a way to make my computer use the other setting instead of trying to do everything again? I just dont know how to search for something like this. All my files are there but just under another user.

Any help would do.

Nevermind. Turns out you cant change the name of your home folder without screwing up everything on your comp. Good to know. Might be why that happened a time before.

But with that said is there anyway to change the name of your home folder?

The name of the home folder is given when you create your home folder. When you set your account, you can name that folder anything you want.
