My 5 year old messed with my macbook for a couple of seconds and it now has an information box for everything I do which also speaks if I have the sound on.

Have attached screen shot showing offending item.

It's the black box towards the bottom with the text "close button" in it.

How do I get rid of it?

Please Please help as it's really getting on my nerves.

Thanks

Phil

If you were disabled you'd love these features, because thats what's who they are for.

Apple > System Preferences > Universal Access > Seeing > Voice Over > uncheck

Thanks for that.

How ironic that my son is disabled so may be very useful to know in the future.

I gave my children their own logins at a very early age.
The first word my son learnt to spell was this password, and we kept updating it to new words. Ad then you can enable things like Universal Access, especially voice over for non readers. Cost nothing and makes the kids feel really good!
