I can think of some possible ways to get gta on mac.
1-Gta and gta2 on ps1 emulator
2-gta advance on gba emulator
3-old gta gamboy/gamboy color version in gameboy color emulator
4-I dont think theres a ps2 or xbox emulator for mac and pc emulators cant run games. But maybe there will be one soon(when the ps3 comes out)
This place has some good emulators http://www.emulator-zone.com/doc.php/mac/

Have you had a go at any ?

The only 'game' emulator I've used on the Mac is MacMAME...

No I cant I donhave any of the roms on my computer.
But I do own gta 3,gta vice city, gta san andreas, and gta advance but I dont have the stuff to get the rom onto my mac. I can also borrow gta2 from someone I know to download the rom from that or buy my own copy if it works.

*cough * buy a intel mac mini for 650
download boot camp
buy borrow copy xp sp 2 ( other wise chalk up another 300 )
buy gta 3 3.5 and 3.7 whcih ever you ar einclined to do so
buy a usb pad
play gta on the mac under windows

in short it wil cost you around a thousand to play them al on the mac

while a ps2 is 149
the games are 20 each
and gta 1 and 2 are even cheaper and you can play the whole series including liberty city stories for a fraction of that price

oh my what a hard choice to make

one ps2 please

no ? really ?
might have noticed the sarcasm in my previous post or the heavy bias towards a console liek they were meant to be played
and the post wsnt really made before macs ran on intel dec 2005 thats barley a month before the intel macs were released
we already knew almost a year that the intel macs were coming

and i stil say a ps2 is the easiest way to play them all

You know you could as suggested get bootcamp which sucks 'cause you gotta restart every time you wana use windows or you could download CodeWeavers Crossover for Mac (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/) on this it just intergrates Windows programs on to your mac I have all Grand Theft Auto games available for PC on my Macbook and for PS2. BTW there is a free Beta or you can pre-order the full version for $39.95 normally $59.95 when it is fully released!!!!
