Fontbook Crashing

Hello!

I'm a Graphic Design student, and our teacher imported his font collection onto some of our personal computers so we different fonts to practice with. Before then, I was able to easily access Font Book and import fonts from Dafont etc with no problem. Ever since the import (called, "Bitstream") my font book crashes every. single. time. It looks like it's about to work for about 3 seconds then the pinwheel pops up and I have to force quit. I have tried locating the bitstream folder outside of Font Book to try and delete it, but to no avail.

I'd really like to delete the Bitstream folder so I can get Font Book back up and running as I want to download new fonts for my projects I'm currently working on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

(Here's my mac: MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2012), running OS X Yosemite.)

Hello and welcome.

-Did you use Font Book to perform the import of the fonts?
-Were the fonts from a retail disc or just a bunch of loose fonts in a folder?
-How many fonts were imported?
-Are any other students with Macs having the same issue?
