Folder Names

Suddenly I cannot change a Folder's name? I was messing with permissions for an online game yesterday - could that be the problem? Though I can't remember what I did

...and yes the keyboard is working!

Permissions could definitely be the problem. Assuming that the folder that you wanted to rename was on your desktop, (This will work with any folder- desktop, applications and documents, etc.)
1.Click once on your desktop.
2.Press Command-I on your keyboard.
3.On the info window that pops up make sure that "You Can" and "Access" show "Read & Write". If you're not able to see these things, click the little triangles and you should be in business.
