Finder favorites

I once accidentally dragged a screenshot into the Finder favorites. Now I cannot seem to get rid of it. The only way I know of deleting favorites is dragging the file/folder out of the shaded area. This works for everything but this particular file.

NB: the screen shot was deleted months ago when I first realized the mistake.

Can anyone help?
