"find" won't search both partitions

I have a mid 2011 iMac running 10.13 on one partition and 10.6 on the other. Running in the 10.13 system, I now find that the command "File Find" only searches the other partition (10.6). I've run Onyx twice but that doesn't seem to help. Any suggestions?

• Are you expanding the search in the window to This Mac?
• At some point did you adjust the permissions on the internal drive?

It did work previously, and I've not changed any permissions on the internal drive (that I know of).

Maybe I need to expand the search in the window. I'm not sure if I've done that.

The header says search "This Mac" "desktop". Could the desktop term be causing a problem? Maybe some sort of permission got changed somewhere. I do run OnyX regularly.
