Ettercap Install

My parents have a wireless router with not very good security. I am trying to install ettercap on my machine. I am running mac os X and I have xcode installed. I am trying to compile ettercap 0.6.7 and when I use the terminal install (./configure,) then type 'make' it says:

/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
_GETLONG
_GETSHORT
_PUTSHORT
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [ettercap] Error 1

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?
