error code -36

Hello!
When I try to copy large files to a flash drive I cant do it and keep getting the flowing messege:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “At the zoo.mov” can’t be read or written.
(Error code -36)

Hi,

I have never tried this but it may help.


1) Go to Finder > Applications > Utilities > Terminal.
2) Type dot_clean in the terminal window and Type Space (Do not hit enter yet).
3) Drag the USB drive that displays error code into the terminal window.
4) Hit Enter and Give it an another try.

Hi,

Just reread your post, what size of files are you trying to copy? Think max size of each individual file may not exceed 4GB.
