drag n drop utube

I can no longer drag n drop utube links to web sites or Thunderbird mail with my 2015 MacBook Pro Retina, OS Catalina 10.15.7. Is it me or utube? Al wondered to himself.

-What are the steps you took previously?
-Have you tried copying and pasting the YouTube URL, os using the Share function in YouTube?

I don't understand copy and paste. I click on the utube header such as https.... and it won't release to desktop nor where I'm trying to repost. Best I could do sharing from utube was sending myself the utube link in email whereas then I could use the 'active' link.
I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree using various Mac functions.
