Hi, don't know correct terminology for a search. Good friend has iBook laptop, OS X - tiger - and he uses BT internet. BT have been emailing him to say he's almost at his 10Gb monthly limit on downloads. How can he tell how much he is using/has used. Is there a Mac newby's way of finding out/monitoring this. Do BT really know how much he's using, or is it a rouse to get him to pay for more /unlimited tariff?

Yes BT or any other provider an tell you exactly how 'data' has been downloaded..(they can even tell you exctly what has been downloaded!'

Has he got a BT Home hub ?

Thanks Ric, yes, he does have a BT hub.
Is there any way he can see, or monitor his download figure, without having to contact BT?
