No repair facility available when I try disk utility. Screen shot of what it looks like.

To do any repairs on your internal drive with Disk Utility, Disk Utility must be booted "externally". If you don't have backup made with either SuperDuper! or Carbon Copy Cloner (you are making backups to an external device, right?), you'll need to boot your Mac from the (hidden) Recovery HD partition. Note the 4th choice on that men. But, if you are not making backups to an external device, you are taking a risk by trying to perform first aid on your internal drive.
