I am wondering how to make the labels on desktop icons fully viewable such as "desktop label", as opposed to looking like "de...el". The only way to make it slightly better that I know of is by making the icon size very large and the font size small.
Hopefully there is a way to keep the icon size small and still read the whole label.

Are you referring to this sort of thing:

The way I get around that problem is to select the icon and hit the Return key ... this forces all the text to appear.

I don't know of a better way but I do know what you mean ... I will see what I can find out.

yea that is exactly what I am trying to fix. It is really annoying not knowing what folder/file is what. Your suggestion of hitting the return key helps a bit but it would be nice if there was a perm fix.
thx for the help tho
