default application for files downloaded w/ safari

anybody know a default application for opening files downloaded through safari quicktime tries to open everthing i get i

Hi,

I'm not sure of exactly what you are after ?

There is no 'default' application for everything...

If you download a .sit file then Stuffit will open it...if you download a .mov then Quicktime Player will open it... etc

Try downloading Onyx and from the maintenance tab run the "Reset LaunchServices Database" then restart and see if that helps...
