I was trying to sign into a web site and got a response that I needed to enable cookies. I'm using a new MacBook, searched Help then went to preferences/security but there's no option for cookies.

Are cookie options someplace else on MacBook? I clicked around but can't find it.

Hi there and welcome,

are you using Safari as your web browser ?

You need to set the cookie options in your browsers preferences.

Yes, Safari. Help directed me to Preferences/Security but there's no mention of cookies in the Security options.

Nope...Security has file vault options in top portion, the setting p/w for sleep, disable auto login, use secure virtual memory, 3 or 4 others but nothing that's on your security screen.

Well, I figure out how to do a print screen but it won't paste.

Hi there,

the preference you are describing is part of System Preferences...this isn't the bit you need.

You need to open Safari, then go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and click on the Safari menu...go down to 'Preferences' and you should see the screen above.
