change menu language from chinese to english

hi, i just bought an iBook from a friend of my aunt. My problem as of the moment is how to change the menu language of my ms office programs from chinese to english.

I have tried doing these...
1) i have tried editing system preferences/international, chinese language is not selected there.

2.) i have erased existing ms office 2004, downloaded and installed a brand new file. same thing.

i don't know what to do... please help. thanks!

I don't know if this will help, but you can try to remove your preference files for your MS Office installation. Don't trash it yet. Just move the plist files to your desktop. When you open your MS Office applications, a new plist will be created for each. The plist files are located in your user Library > Preferences. They will be named: com.microsoft.<application name>.plist
