CD from audio cassette

What software have others successfully used to create CD's from cassettes other than Garage Band?
This process would include splits.

I know that iMic comes with some software that's meant to be easy to use, Final Vinyal...

You can download the Final Vinyal Manual fromt he website and have a read of it before purchasing...

I have a connection to my cassette source. I need software to edit the uploaded material.

A late response, but I've been doing a lot of transferring from tape to CD, and I use Spin Doctor to capture the sound -- it comes with Toast -- then Max (freebie) to convert the resulting .aiff files to MP3s, then Audacity (also free) to edit and cut up the MP3s. Hope this helps.
