Catalina confusion?

After installing Catalina I have a disk shown in hard drive utilities called MACINTOSH HD-DATA
That disk does not show on desktop but shows 415 GB on it.
It does not mount in disk utilities!
And if I drag files to the startup drive MACINTOSH HD nothing will goin.

Did I screw something up or is the new way with Catalina?? ??

Catalina runs in a Read Only volume, Macintosh HD, hence you cannot put anything in it. A second volume Macintosh HD Data is created for all the other stuff.
