Can't sign into Facetime. It says there are no reachable addresses in the Apple ID account, but there are!!

Trying to log in to Facetime on MB Air and I get the following;

I go to appleid.apple.com and the address is listed there under my account. So I created a new gmail account and verified it with a code that Apple sent to it. Same problem.

Have tried all that Google suggests, everything recommended on the Apple support page, just not getting anywhere.

Facetime preferences is greyed out so I can't access it.

I am logged in to iCloud fine, but just can't access Facetime.

Device is not associated with any other Apple ID account.

Hello,

Date and time are correct on your Mac?

You tried all of these, correct?
-Use FaceTime on Mac
-If FaceTime isn't working on your Mac
-If you can't sign in to your iMessage account or FaceTime on your Mac
-Can’t Sign in to FaceTime? This Account Has No Reachable Addresses
-Catalina + FaceTime "This account has no reachable ID"
