Can't sign in on app store

Hi all
Recently, I've switched from using one apple account to another.
I can sign-in to my iTunes store and App Store account. However, I just can't seem to sign in when I click on the "Updates" tab of the App Store. The bubble keeps popping up again saying "Sign-in to the iTunes store. If you have an apple ID, sign in with it here."

I've deauthorised my account on all the old computers and re-authorised it on this computer. I've signed out and signed back in on both iTunes and App store.

Help please :/

Hello and welcome.

It may be prompting you for your old Apple ID, if the apps it is trying to update were purchased with that account. Have you tried entering the old account info?

ahh that would make sense! I no longer have access to the old account though. Would I have to re-install the apps then?

Not sure if the apps are still "connected" to your old account. Maybe try one of them, and then try and get an update from the App store. Also, for a number of third party apps, you should be able to get updates from the company's/developer's site.

Thanks I think I just need to uninstall and re-install the apps that are causing problems!
