cannot see all my fonts in contacts

Hi,
I am using mountain lion. I notice that in some of my programs I can't see all the installed fonts.
They are in the library/font folder.
I am the only user on my computer. I did notice that in my user/library/font folder is blank.
But, as the only user, I should have access to all the installed fonts

In contacts when I go to print, i only see a few fonts. When I try to use Ambrosia envelopes the format font option is greying out options.

I should be able to use all my 237 fonts. I can't figure out what is wrong.

Ensure the Collections column is set to All Fonts.
