I have an M1 MacBook Air. I had the Brave browser installed for a while. All was fine until I started using its VPN. I started getting a VPN pop-up from hell on the desktop constantly demanding a password. It was like a virus. Eventually I uninstalled Brave but still got the pop-up. Incidentally, this is a known bug with Brave. I've finally convinced the now uninstalled VPN to disconnect. The pop-up has thankfully stopped popping up. My question is how do I now get rid of whatever remnants of Brave VPN are still in the computer? I REALLY, REALLY don't want the pop-up from hell to return. Thanks.

You can use one of the app cleaner utilities to completely purge the unwanted application and all of its related files. There is Pearcleaner and AppCleaner. The latter is my first choice. Both are free. They are available on Macupdate.com.

After removing the .dmg (installation file) all trace of the annoying Brave VPN has gone from my MBA. Weird or what?
