Blurry Screen with OSX

I have always had a problem with a blurry screen on my mac. Previously, I was able to fix it by pressing the command escape key after turning it on and the blurriness would go away. I just downloaded OSX and now that function no longer works and I am stuck with a blurry screen. I've checked the resolution, etc. The only thing that would work is command escape and now that no longer seems like an option with OSX. Does anyone know about this? Thanks!

It sounds like you have zoomed in somehow try going into system pref for exposé.

Edit :
Also by default, Control+mouse scroll wheel zooms in and out.

Hello and welcome.

-Which year and size - 13", 15", 17"?
-Resolution is set on highest number?
-Have you tried resetting PRAM?
-Is zoom enabled in the Accessibility preference lane?

Thanks you guys! I went to the accessibility button and enhanced contrast. It's all good. I appreciate it.

Good to hear, out of curiosity which heading within the accessibility panel did you have to alter?
