Whenever I receive a notification on my Apple Watch and click to view it, the notification appears blurry. I tried restarting the watch, but the restart screen is also blurry and unresponsive. Any advice on how to fix this?

Blurry notifications and an unresponsive restart screen on your Apple Watch indicate a potential software or display issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve this problem:

Steps to Fix Blurry Notifications on Apple Watch

  1. Force Restart Your Apple Watch:
    • Press and hold both the side button and the Digital Crown for at least 10 seconds.
    • Release both buttons when you see the Apple logo. This can often resolve temporary glitches.
  2. Update watchOS:
    • Ensure your Apple Watch is running the latest version of watchOS.
    • On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
    • Go to General > Software Update and install any available updates.
  3. Check Accessibility Settings:
    • Sometimes, certain accessibility settings can cause display issues.
    • On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
    • Go to Accessibility and ensure settings like Reduce Motion and Zoom are turned off.
  4. Reset Sync Data:
    • On your iPhone, open the Watch app.
    • Go to General > Reset > Reset Sync Data.
  5. Unpair and Re-pair Your Apple Watch:
    • Unpairing and re-pairing can often resolve more persistent issues.
    • Unpair:
      1. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
      2. Go to All Watches, tap the info button next to your watch, and select Unpair Apple Watch.
      3. Follow the prompts to complete the unpairing process.
    • Re-pair:
      1. After unpairing, bring your Apple Watch close to your iPhone.
      2. Follow the on-screen instructions to re-pair your watch.
      3. Ensure you set it up as a new watch to avoid bringing over any potential corrupted data.
  6. Reset Your Apple Watch to Factory Settings:
    • If the issue persists, resetting your Apple Watch to factory settings might help.
    • On your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
    • After resetting, set up your watch again.
