Big Things We Ignore

Here's a perhaps interesting phenomena, big things that most of us ignore most of the time.

1) There are thousands of massive hydrogen bombs aimed at the United States, Russia, and probably much of Europe, which could be launched at any time by a single human being, an act which would most likely result in the collapse of modern civilization. Everyone knows this, but we almost never discuss it, even in presidential campaigns where we hand some single person the doomsday button.

2) It seems beyond clear that there are some kind of advanced unknown craft flying around our atmosphere. Nobody seems to know what they are, and most of the time, nobody cares.

But Britney Spear's legal troubles receive extensive coverage in every form of media.

At what point do we just admit that we're insane?

A big thing we mistake for a little thing...

Tailgating while driving.

What is tailgating?

1) If the leading car has to slam on it's brakes, the trailing car may very well slam in to the leading car. Tailgating.

2) Risking everything in exchange for nothing.

Completely normal human behavior, most cars are tailgating most of the time. And it barely merits mention.

40 mph = 58.8 ft/sec

To give ourselves 5 seconds of reaction time, drop back approximately 300 feet.

What??? Get home 5 seconds later??? 5 seconds??? No way!! Unacceptable!!!

And what if an alien was tailgating while transporting a nuclear weapon in his extremely thin iCar vehicle from Apple, because he was late for a date with Britney Spears? Did you ever think about that? Did ya? Did ya? Huh?
