bad cpu type in executable help =/

hi all need some help with my powermac g4 some reason when i turn on my mac it just comes up with a black screen saying bad cpu type in executable and i cant do anything only type and such i really want my powermac g4 to work again please help me:(

And what did you do? Sounds like you installed the OSX from the wrong DVDs???

I used disk disk utility tryed to install a new mac osx half way through i couldnt install it so i restarted the system and all i get now is a black screen at start up saying bad cpu type in executable i just want to get pass this screen so i can get back in im not a mac guy but i really need help because its for school

yep, that version of OSX was not compatible with your Mac, you have to locate the DVDs that came with your G4 and reinstall from them, the is no, just getting past this, you have to start again.

Ah that just sucks ok what if i wanted to install leopard on g4 how would i go about booting the disc and such i tryed with holding c but nothing really happens =/

only Leopard and only off a DVD that came with the same model computer or a full retail version.

General requirements
Mac computer with an Intel processor
1GB of memory
5GB of available disk space
DVD drive for installation
