Hi there,

Had a Mac Pro for a few weeks - loving it!

Is there a free program or easy way to backup folders from your my internal HDD to my external HDD?

I don't want to backup everything - just certain folders - music/photos/videos etc

Can anyone help me out?

Thanks!

Go

Apple's Backup will work for this beautifully. If you have a .Mac account, you can download it free.

There are other apps out there that are shareware/retail packages such as LaCie SilverKeeper and Retrospect. Also, there are cloning/backup apps such as SuperDuper! and Carbon Copy Cloner that have additional functionality.

As well as Cory's suggestions, you could also try iBackup which is totally free, and also backs up different settings as well as files and folders. :)
