AppleWorks unresponsive

Hello,
On my 2007 macbook pro osx 10.4.11 suddenly appleworks won't open. Clicking either on cwk documents or on the program results in nothing. Anyone have any ideas?

In Preferences, delete the AppleWorks Pref File.

Just a note AppleWorks is end of life. I know a lot of teachers who have lost resources because they are trapped in AppleWorks. If you have important information in those files, move them to a standard format. I strongly suggest TextEdit.
