10.5.1 permissions /i disk problems

dl new update and now my disk utility takes an hour to verify and another hour to repair.
then i run it again and same errors

warning SUID files system library private frame etc.
warning SUID files user lib exec author open etc.

they fly by with blurrying speed/ for 30 mins.10,000 of errors or more.

now some parts of pages dont work or load and beachballs, slowing down
read somewhere on macfixit that not to run disk utilities until there is a solution.
could i just re install[fresh] of leopard and start over or is problem in leopard??

From what I've read a reinstall will not do any good. That is a glitch in Leopard.
As for the iDisk, I'm having problems too. I can't upload any file that's over a few hundred megabytes. I guess that Apple isn't done fixing their servers yet.
