I'm running a mid 2011 iMac and went to install win 7 as this model is not compatible with win 10. But after downloading necessary drivers, partitioning hard drive, and starting install the iMac restarts to a black screen with a blinking cursor. Nothing else happens so I restarted it. This time holding option key to choose boot disk. Besides my Mac HD 2 DVD boots are available. One says windows one says boot. If I click on "windows" we go back to black screen with cursor. If I click on "boot" screen freezes completely...? I've tried different windows ISO's. I've reset pram. I've loaded iso to USB. Always the same issue. I've recently needed windows for work and was hoping this would be easy. Please help. G
