I have several large tables made with Office Word (about 15) and each has about 125 pages and is about 5 Mgs in size. But one of these grew in size to over 10 Mgs all at once a few years ago and I don't know what caused that to happen. It has the same number of pages and pictures as the others. I tried to upload a sample but the file has a wrong extension.

-Which version of Office was the document created with?
-Which version of Office are you opening the files with?
I would suggest contacting Microsoft directly as well.
