WavePad Can Run & Edit But Not Save

Running OS X 10.7.4
Using WavePad 4.25 Intel

As stated in my title, program will open, I can load an MP3 file and even edit it. The problem is when I try to save I get the following message:

"You can't open the application mp3el because PowerPC applications are no longer supported."

Why am I getting this message only when I try to save the file? Wouldn't this message appear when I try to start the program? And I don't understand why its referring to a PowerPC application? When I right click the app and it says Intel.
