voice memo sync

Help! I updated to ios or whatever the heck it is on my macBook pro and my iphone 4. Earlier this afternoon I recorded an interview on my iphone 4, hooked it up to my macBook Pro and now I can't get it to show up on my macBook. Usually I would just do a "sync" and that worked. The new voice memo shows up in grey on itunes when I click on my iphone.
Any ideas? Suggestions? Arrgh.
