unable to fresh install 10.6.2

Hi I bought used mac mini today.
I thought I could format it like windows and wont need admin passwords.
I have os x 10.6.2 install dvd and app dvd.

When I restart from dvd it only asks me language and then to install it on one of three partitions. Does not give me utilities option or let me delete erase the partitions. Once I installed it again but still admin passwords are troubling.

I restarted by holding Windows plus c key since I dont have apple kb.

Any one help me on how to get a totally fresh machine.

This is one of the safe guards of a Mac, and you need to use disk utility to format first. to save me writing a long post have a look here.

Disk Utility is under one of the menus to reformat the drive.
