Hi guys, after the installing the latest update of IOS 13 on my iPhone 8 plus I've totally lost the True Tone selection field and radio button.
By chance is there a working fix as there appears to be quite a few people having the issue but no remedies. There appears to be mention and relation to the installation of after market screen replacements but I'm not sure if that's applicable to my handset. I purchased it recently 2nd hand on eBay. Is there any way to identify if the phone has had the screen replaced recently? I must admit the screen feels quite 'plasticky' when tapping so I'm not sure if the iPhone 8 actually comes standard with a plastic type screen or glass?
Any thoughts or help would be fantastic - cheers.

Hello and welcome.

There isn't any way to tell without opening the iPhone, which isn't recommended. The iPhone 8 screen is glass, not plastic. I do know what you mean about the feel, as iPads have that same plastic feel to the screen, even though they are glass as well.

I hadn't heard of this issue until your post. It definitely could be related to a non-Apple replacement screen, but if others are having the issue with original Apple screens, it may be a bug in the latest update.

You could always make sure everything is backed up and do a complete erase and restore to see if that fixes things.
