Tried everything, can’t boot my mac with the screen plugged on the eGPU case…

I’ve asked around, so far no luck… you are my last hope :

got a 2019 macmini, with a Razer Core eGPU case and a Gigabyte Vega 64. It works…

…but only with the screen plugged on the mac mini and the "prefer external GPU" option… which is far from perfect.

I tried plugging it before… during… after boot…
I tried HDMI and DisplayPort
I tried a dummy screen

It mostly just goes black or doesn’t boot.

Is there a way to have a working eGPU or should I give up on the idea ?

Hello,

I am not very familiar at all with eGPU external devices. It may be best to contact Razer directly, as they would have the best support for this. You are also having issues with your Crucial X8 - I wonder if there may be an issue with the USB-C ports on the mini?
