time machine

Last 3 back ups have read around 20 Gb .....nothing close to that has been added and back ups are only a day apart
am I missing something....

Do you happen to have Parallels or VMware Fusion, and have opened the VMs?

no cross platform apps. disk warrior > boot drive > leaned out the os > emptied caches > removed duplicates > archived itunes files not in use, checked ssd health and made sure the options are set correctly
its beyond my pay grade ...........

Maybe some form of logs, lots of email? Do you move a lot of files around? Did you apply a lot of software/application updates?
