The compatible camcorder issue continues

I have spent most of the day trying to find a camcorder compatible with mac.

My original choice was the hard disc type, but it appears these are a no go.

Then I turned to DVD, on phoning Panasonic they inform me that they are not Mac compatible either.

I dont really want DV.

Am I being led up the wrong path here, is there any camcorder that I can use with my Mac, all I want it to do is use it with Imovie?

Boy am I confused

Hooks up nicely to iMovie, FCP and FC Express !

What is your editing software of choice and we'll work backwards from there...
