I have a Macbook Air. It says the startup disk is almost full, so I trashed a bunch of old files emptied the trash and moved everything else onto an external hard drive. Here's the problem. In the storage tab on the "about this Mac" display, it says I have 45.78 Gigs of storage used up by "other" stuff. That's not counting photos, music, videos or applications. when go to the "All My Files" display in Finder, there is nothing close to that amount of stuff there to use 45 gigs of storage. How can find out what is using up all the storage on my Mac?

3rd Party apps like Grand Perspective or WhatSize allow you to see what is taking up space on your Mac
